My Trip to Denver...

all by myself!
Man, I'm a slacker!!  Since I've been home I've been trying to get caught up on everything, and trying to process all the information that I got while in CO for the NILMDTS seminar!  There was so much information given to us all in such a short amount of time!!
And I can't believe I'm going to say this, mainly because I can't believe I actually did it!!  I took my camera with me, and didn't take ONE picture!!  Is that not cRaZy?!  Me!!  Oh goodness!!
Here is a picture of all of us that attend, as well as the staff, and Sandy Puc' who is the co-founder of the organization...

The only pictures I took were with my phone!  I still can't believe that!
This trip was my first trip to CO ever and I saw something I've never seen...
As I got off the plane I went to use the restroom, as I walked in I saw this sign...
"Tornado Shelter"
What?!  That was a first!! Ü

On Saturday night, I went out with some ladies that I've met through a photography forum...  The girl in the red sweater next to me was at the training with me, we were lucky enough to be able to change up the hotel rooms and become room mates! Ü  The rest of these gals live in the Denver area, and make me want to go visit again!  It was so fun to hang out with all of them and put a voice and face to the reading I've done! Ü  Thanks again girls for a fun "girls night out"!!

The rest of these pictures were taken from my seat on the plane on the way home...  I sat right by the wing, pretty cool looking!  I also loved the mountain range...

So those are the only pictures I took!  Sad!  But it was so worth the trip!  I learned so much about how to spread the word of NILMDTS more in my area!!  And I also got some fun new ideas for my business!  I'm excited to see what comes from that!!

Be Thankful~ Day 6

Ok, I'm back... Well, kinda!
I'm still not home, I'm in Vegas at my Aunt and Uncle's house waiting to have pizza for dinner and for rush hour to subside... Ü
But today I'm thankful for my PINK (we all know I love pink!) Blackberry and the ability it gives me to get my emails instantly!!

As we all know, it's Monday and in my house, and my parents house, we LOVE Mondays!
Mondays= Emails from our Missionary!!
And with me being in Denver, I'm thankful today for my phone!  I love that as I'm sitting in a shuttle van on my way to the airport I can get my brother's email!  It's the best thing ever!  I'm also thankful for cell phones in general!  What would we do without them?!?  I love that I can still talk to my family whenever I want while I'm away from them...  I can't wait to get home... after pizza! Ü
What are you thankful for today??

RUBIO'S!

Photobucket

And the fact that I'm in Vegas where I can enjoy it!  You really don't understand how yummy and wonderful something is until you move some place that doesn't have it!  I know Sheena and Lauren over on the east coast know what I'm talking about... They miss Mexican food in general, sorry guys!
Oh and I'm thankful for awesome cousins who joined me!
Except I miss my hubby and kids... I'm off to Denver CO for a NILMDTS conference! My flight leaves early tomorrow morning...

Be Thankful~ Day 3

So today I'm thankful for Kernan and his ability to make me laugh!!  All. The.  Time.
Like today, first of all he was a chatter box all day, I swear he gets in that mood and he just can't be stopped!!  So as we're in Wal-Mart this morning he tells me he has to go potty... So we walk back to the bathrooms and go into the last stall, the biggest.  He's doing his business (chatting the entire time) and is done so I'm pulling up his pants, when all the sudden he asks,
"Mom, why food turn into POOP??"
oh.my.goodness.
Of course their had to be ONE other person in the bathroom then, in the stall right next to us!!  Why couldn't she have chosen the first stall, you know 4 doors down!! Not that it would have mattered, we were the only people in there!  I just hope she couldn't understand him because sometimes if you don't spend a lot of time with him he can be hard to understand!  Either that or the lady was probably LAUGHING hysterically but trying SO hard not to let it out! Ü
Oh that kid!  I love him!!  I could dedicate an entire blog to all the funny things he says and does!
I am defiantly THANKFUL for him!

Be Thankful~ Day 1

I thought it would be a fun thing for the month of November to do a "thankful" post each day!!  Now that I'm done with Halloween updates, let's get started! Ü  I just get so sad when I go into the stores after Halloween and all I see is Christmas stuff EVERYWHERE!  Aren't we supposed to be "Thankful" first?!  YES!  So before I totally get into the Christmas spirit, I want to be thankful first!!  Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, I love taking the time to slow down and be thankful for what I have in my life!  So let's start this thing off...
Side note: my thankful posts are in NO specific order! haha! Ü
Today I'm thankful for:
MY DAD
and what a better day to be thankful for him then on his birthday!! Ü

Photobucket

One thing I love the most about my Dad is how strong of an example he is to so many!   His Faith in what he believes has always meant so much to me in my life!  I have very fond memories of going to Stake Conferences, just me and him or Firesides and other church meetings.  I can remember when I was in Young Womens and we had a service project to go to, I really didn't want to go.  My Dad drove me to the stake center and on the way there he quietly handed me his scriptures and asked me to read a specific scripture that talked about service and why we're asked to do it!  I've never thought twice about serving others!  My Dad is a great example of serving his callings.  He's been in many leadership roles as well as a counselor in two different Bishoprics, with those callings come many meetings I don't remember my Dad ever "flaking out" he always goes.  He even goes above and beyond the responsibilities of his calling and takes on some of the things others should be doing!  I will always look up to him for that!  I'm also grateful for the example he is to Brian and my kids!  My Dad also gave me my Priesthood blessing shortly after finding out we had lost Broc and beginning the delivery process,  I don't remember what was said I just now that without that blessing I wouldn't have handled that entire situation as well as I did!  I love you Dad!!

My Dad is a quite guy, but if you really know him, you know that he's a hilarious guy as well!  We like to call it in our family, "Dad's on a ROLL!"  And when my Dad gets on a "roll" it's a blast!  He makes us all laugh like you can't even believe!  When we moved to Utah, I remember Brian and I talking about how we were going to miss being there for them all the time!  He is a funny guy!!  I love it!

My Dad also gives GREAT advice!  As seen in this picture, he's giving Kolby who knows what kind of advice!!  But his advice is always good!  Ü  I remember after losing Broc, I was talking with my Dad about how everyone was saying, "I'm so Sorry" and I'd say, "It's ok..." I told my Dad, I don't know what to say because it's not ok and he told me, "just say Thanks", I loved that advice!
I know that Brian enjoys getting advice from him about things, whether that takes place on the golf course or over the phone, Brian is grateful for whatever advice my Dad gives him!
Photobucket

He is a great GRANDPA!  My kids love him!  Even if he's teasing them or goofing off with them, they love him!!  And I love watching him with them!!  I remember going into his office when Maci was younger and his patients would ask if she was his daughter and he'd say "Nope, that's my grand-daughter." They'd say, "No, you're to young to be a Grandpa!" and he'd say, "I tried telling them that!" haha!! Ü  As Maci said in her card for Grandparents day she made, my Grandpa is a "funny bunny"! hehe!  Love it!! Ü

So today I'm thankful for my Dad, for so many reasons!!  I could probably go on and on!!  But one of the  biggest things that stands out in my mind, is what he said to me as he hugged me good-bye before we left his house the morning we moved to Utah...  The entire drive that day I didn't cry, until I thought of what he said to me!  It continues to bring tears to my eyes this day!!  Thanks Dad!!  I'm crying again!
I LOVE YOU DAD!!

Happy Birthday!!
Alright, that was Day One... They won't be as detailed as today's I'm sure, but I could go on and on about how thankful I am for my Dad, once I got started I couldn't stop!!  I had to draw the line somewhere!! Ü  Until tomorrow...  I'm off to get dinner, wish I was at Chili's with my family for my Dad's birthday, but I guess left over chicken enchilada's will have to do! Ü

If you want to join in with me on this, I think it would be fun!  Let me know in the comments section so I make sure to see what you're thankful for too!!

Trick or Treat...

Happy Halloween!
Like last year, we trick or treated up and down my Grandparents street!  It is seriously the BEST street!  I set up a cute little set up in my Grandma's dining room and took pictures of the trick or treaters as they came by, so I didn't get to walk the kids around...  But I sent Brian with my other camera to insure that I still would have pictures of the kids going trick or treating!
Here is my Grandma and Grandpa's house, it's always decorated so cute!!  See our awesome carved pumpkins??  Some punk kids came by late that night and threw them in the street!  Why do people enjoy that?! whatever.

Also like last year the kids trick or treated with Chase, my cousins little boy!

Loved this lady's costume!!  What a crack up!

Here was my set up that night, it looks so cute!!  The poor hay bail really took a beating by the end of the night!  I had 74 families that came by!!  My Grandma figured out that she handed out about 650 pieces of candy!!  That is a lot of kids!!
Photobucket

Here is Chase... Kernan wanted to be Bumblebee too, but I wouldn't let him!  I know, mean Mom!
Isn't Chase adorable as Bumblebee though?! Ü

The boys...

Kernan was so over being photographed by the time we got all 3 of them to sit together!!  Can't ya tell??

Also, last Saturday while we were in AZ we went with Christtina, her boys, Brian's Dad and two youngest sisters to Christtina's ward trunk or treat...  Here are the kids posing in front of my parents house....

Kernan wanted NOTHING to do with going to each car!  He sat on the curb with me while I was on a phone call...  So I'm glad he enjoyed it on Halloween, I was a bit worried!
Photobucket

Christtina, Michayla and I...  Michayla did hers and Christtina's make up...  Don't they look cute?!
Photobucket

And Halloween in my book wouldn't be complete without one more look at the best costume we've ever done for our kids!!  This picture just puts the biggest smile on my face whenever I see it!!  I have it as an 11x14 in my office but I think I want it bigger!!
Cutest Wall-E on Earth!! Ü

Alright, that's it for Halloween this year, it sure was fun!  Hope yours was too!! Ü
